Outside of her private practice, Aly is active in multiple national and global efforts to reduce violence against women and girls, implement the Nordic Model, and protect children and others from the psychological harms caused by exposure to violent sexual content.
She was lead author on the paper, Pornography as School for Sex Abuse and Violence: A Review of Culturally Approved Harms to Women and Girls, cited in the Final Report of the United Nations Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls, its causes and consequences.
